a family adventure...

Four Brothers in America, tired of so many struggles but those small successes were enough to light up their souls and embark in a quest to make a name for themselves and make the family back in Mexico proud.   Moving from California all the way up to Virginia, they found a town in need of Mexican Flavor and so, on December 12th, 1990 in Harrisonburg, El Charro was born.  The passion for a "good, clean, and fair" food and consistency for many years has set their roots with so many regulars across Virginia and travelers from around the globe.

The fresh food, the familiar friendly speedy service makes El Charro stand out among the crowd.  Try, the "Arroz con Pollo" Rice with Chicken, a local favorite that has swept the taste buds of so many returning clients. Perfectly seasoned chicken combined with our famous homemade cheese deep over a bed of fresh peppers, mushrooms & rice. With incredibly fresh ingredients and creative cooking skills who know how to put those ingredients to work, it's no surprise that is hard to choose anywhere else other that El Charro.
